How do I make the animated map show the changes just made through the editor?

I edited the captions of some images I added. But the map does not reflect those changes automatically. Is there a way to refresh the map to pick up the recent edits?

UPDATE: I didn't read the question detail correctly...when you update photo captions, the player doesn't automatically reload the photos, so you'll need to refresh the page to see the new captions in the player.

Changes you make to a map should show up in the animated player right away. If your changes aren't showing up, it's a bug on our side. Can you comment with a link to the map that's not updating? We'll have a look and see if we can identify the problem.

One thing we have seen cause this in the past is a caching problem with Internet Explorer 8 - basically, the browser caches the original version of the map and doesn't refresh on save. We put some logic in the save function to prevent the issue, but it seems to still happen now and then. If you're using IE8 and want to be sure the cache is updated correctly, you can go into Internet Options and set the browser to request a new version of the page every time it loads. That will make your browsing experience a bit slower on other sites, but it should solve the caching problem.
