We would like to set out the whole trip before we start, can I do this?

  Mark, if you're asking if it's possible to map out your trip on Tripline before you leave, that's absolutely possible. It works especially well if you're planning to visit multiple places. You can go to http://www.tripline.net/create and create a map from scratch, or import from Tripit if you have a Tripit account. If you're creating a map manually, start from your home location and enter all of the places you're planning to visit.
  
  You can also copy places from other people's maps using the PLUS icon that displays next to each waypoint. I've attached one of my maps for a South Africa trip that I took in 2003. Click on [show places], have a look through the places I visited and add the ones you like.
  
  For upcoming trips it's probably best to keep your map private/visible to friends and add your fellow travelers so you can collaborate.
