RV Departure (11:00 pm)
We got a bit of a late start due to my having tickets for the Conan O'Brien show. Sure, I had to drive the entire first leg but it was totally worth it. Still, I did miss seeing Ladd pass out in the middle of a card game. Luckily it was captured on video! -

We pulled into the campsite super late. Unfortunately for everyone sleeping the entire RV had been drinking while I was at the Conan Show. 4am PLUS no lights PLUS drunk navigators = driving around the campsite for 20 mins trying to find our designated spot. -

LBI 2010 kick off! Knowing we had a full 36 holes to play, I tired to pace myself. Of course, I failed in doing so, but the attempt was made. Also, I found a super huge spider in the middle of the fairway. While the spider was scary big, the real takeaway should be; I was in the middle of the fairway! -

For the first time the LBI format scheduled 36 holes on the opening day....and we picked a hot day to try this out. The results were mixed, but no one passed out...at least not from heat stroke. We're big fans of Glen Dornoch, by the way. While ordering beers prior to the round the lady at the bar said: oh, are you the group in the RV? Heather Glen (shares the same management) told us you were heading over. Have fun out there!
A golf course that encourages having a good time! We love it! -

The magical result of a 96 degree afternoon, and 34 holes of hard drinking. On #17, a proud tradition was born...and witnessed by the course ranger. His reply: It's a hot one out here today. There's nothing better than playing course where the management gets it. -

Unfortunately this course was in pretty bad shape, which caused the demise of several golfers. Brett however, held on to his lead and won his first LBI Championship! -

Last Place dumps the RV Septic! (4:00 pm)13306 Saint John Church Road, Stony Creek, VA | (434) 246-2881
This year we chose the Davis Travel Center as our location for dumping the RV Septic. Until about an hour prior to our stop, the septic was filled with nothing but numero uno. With an ill advised request to pull over at the next stop one of the travelers tipped his had that a deuce was brewing. 3 things happened after this request was made.
1) We hit a crazy stretch of road with no rest stops or exits.
2) No more than 20 seconds after the requester went into the RV bathroom we hit a crazy stretch of swervey roads, which may or may not have caused said traveler to hit his head on the bathroom wall....several times
3) The penalty for finishing last got real. -
