Here's what we know so far:
We're headed to Winthrop. We'll enjoy KOA style camping on the Methow River and hopefully some much sought after sunshine, Do a little day trippin over Loup Loup Pass through Okanogan to Conconully, down to Pateros and back to Sun Mountain Lodge for dinner.

Senior then goes solo for 18 more days to wherever he ends up. Map updates and Tales From The Road once he finds out where that is. Follow it all at www.threeharleyguys.com

Well Senior is solo. Breakfast at Sun Mountain Lodge ended with saying our good by's for the next 2.5 weeks as Senior heads to Nespelem for a visit to the Collville Indian Reservation, followed by a short photo stop at Grand Coulee Dam, now calling it a day in Spokane to update the web-site.

Headed South from Spokane trying to stay off freeways took 195 Siuth out of Spokane. Lazy day of thoughts through the wheat fields to Pullman, down the steep grades to Lewiston, where I hit the Salmon River and followed it South, entering Idaho and crossing the 45th parallel, half way between the North Pole and the Equator.

Hot, hot, hot... stopped for dinner in Lapwai, chicken fried steak and the works... yum. Temperature 100 degrees.

Lapwai has historical routes with the Nez Pierce. Interesting this journey passed Chief Joseph's grave site a couple days ago and now without planning, it seems to be following the Trail of Tears.

Continuing South, sun burned arms are hurting, but it is now late afternoon with long cooling shadows for seconds of relief.

New Meadows, Idaho, I'm done and spending the night. The only bar in town is a very nice and friendly place with great food, the Kahili Club. Talking to locals there, lots of opportunities for rides tomorrow. Check back to see how it works out and go to the BLOG for more at www.threeharleyguys.com

Left New Meadows headed South. Gonna tour Hells Canyon today. Great ride, no traffice, like really, saw maybe a half dozen trucks, one car and 4 bikes in 90 miles, over 3 hours. Beautiful scenery, lots of twisties, but loose gravel kept the 20 MPH curves down to about 30 - 35.

Not sure what the origin of the name Hells Canyon is, but if it is realted to hot it is dead on. Over 100 pretty much all day.

Tomorrow may become heading for the hills seeking a 20 degree relief from the heat for a couple day break, or not, still winging it day by day.

Been in the mountains of Idaho for a week. Came down to Boise to update the BLOG at www.ThreeHarleyGuys.com where you can read the full story.

Headed back up to the mountains for a couple more days above the Payette Lake area.
