One of the most beautiful mountain parks in China, it's gorgeous and all the flowering bonsai were blooming. Beautiful. -

Another little stopover on the way to Vietnam, some nice sights in town. I think I was the only white person around. -

It was a long bus ride to the Vietnamese border, fortunately some really nice people on the bus. It was a shame I don't speak more Mandarin though... -

In the clouds. It was pretty cold and I couldn't see anything. Didn't stay long. -

Fascinating place. Pretty busy with scooters, it's one of the main things tourists talk about and remember about Hanoi. -

Kind of pretty. Some nice food. Weather still not amazing. Not convinced by Vietnam altogether, I quickly decide to head over to Laos ahead of plan. -

Finally some sun! And after frenetic Vietnam, quiet Laos was appeasing. I enjoyed spending a few days there by the Mekong. -

I think that was one of my favourite places of the whole trip. Did almost nothing for a week, spent a lot of time reading in my hammock with great views of the Mekong. Fantastic weather, beautiful sunsets. Also was lucky to catch the yearly island festival, complete local madness, lots of fun. -

I spent time with my little brother, his wife and my lovely baby niece in Vientiane. My niece is more interesting than photos of the city. I had a great time there with them. -

We went to explore the North of the country for a bit. Luang Prabang is certainly very touristy, as well as very pretty. -

On the way back in Luang Prabang we spent an afternoon at the Kuang Xi waterfalls nearby, lovely. Very cold water though. -

I met a guy via Couchsurfing and he took me on a tour of the town in the afternoon, nice little stopover and not particularly touristy. -
