This is a beautiful park that is very handy to meet fellow riders before you take Chuckanut Drive...an epic drive not to miss. Two blocks away in Fairhaven are fuel stations and a nice grocery store etc. -
I-5 Exits 250 & 231 are nearby entrances. Fun drive and beautiful scenery. -

The dam is a MUST see! Tours are worth it. The ride to the dam is excellent too.
The ride up to the Nelway Border Crossing is a great scenic/fun ride. -

The Sullivan Lake Rd and succeeding directions from this point onward are worth traveling! -

Check the hours of operation but the park is well worth the money and the water park is a great refreshment as well. Unfortunately, I accidently watched my bike tip over fully loaded as I rolled it off the center stand on the gravel. This picture is after I righted it a bit. The bike went ALL THE WAY OVER and broke my mirror etc. That was a downer on the trip, but only momentarily. -

Great park. If you have the time, take a day to do a Jet-Boat excursion through the Snake River Canyons...I hear it's awesome. -

This bypass from the worn out highway is a gem in the rough...don't miss the experience of being out in no-where land seeing the vast rolling hills. -

There must be over 2000 gigantic wind turbine generators along the way, who knows how many power lines, and endless semi-trucks travel this route. At times the scenery is good but compared to the beauty of so much of the rest of the State Hwy 14 is only one to endure to get to a destination. -

Didn't hang out along the coast due to fog and cold (30 degrees colder than the warm part of the state during summer sunshine). I had a fantastic trip the end of May along the coast already so I moved right along...well, except for the heavy traffic..ugh) -

The Ferry is a novel experience. When you depart from the Ferry I suggest you take a left and head into town, then take a right up to Hwy 20 to the light. -

Make sure you take the back way into Anacortes (near the Deception Pass Bridge right by the lake) via Marine Drive...is waaaaay better than just following traffic on Hwy 20 and the drive is scenic). -

The Peace Arch border crossing at Blaine and the Canadian Border. Take the last exit into Blaine, stay right and utilize the park for taking a picture of the Arch (there's no turn around once you past the last exit...I know from experience...or you will wait in long lines just to get back into the American side through the border crossing...no fun). -

Two blocks away in Fairhaven are fuel stations and a nice grocery store etc. This was a complete journey, hitting the 4 corners of WA state and a complete loop. I never washed my windshield (I look over it anyway) and the 1654 GPS miles collected quite a smattering of bugs :-).
