(Monistrol de Montserrat – Manresa = 25Km – 40’)
Manresa is a cultural and religious tourist destination. More than 200.000 people visit Manresa every year to know La Seu basilica and the Saint Ignatius Cave, the most important monuments, or to live their traditional festivities. Apart from that, people from all over the county come to shop in the modernist surroundings of Passeig Pere III.
Manresa Tourist Office arranges guided walking tours through the main heritage routes in the city: the medieval splendour, the baroque treasures, the modernist ornamentation or the spirituality of Saint Ignatius. -
In one of the caves of the landscape of Manresa, the tradition says that Saint Ignatius of Loyola retired for a time to meditate and write his famous Spiritual Exercises. Over the years, a simple little cave has become the city's greatest, most ostentatious monument
