What a privilege to be in Melbourne to attend the World Indigenous People's Conference on Education (WIPCE)! Sadly, I know so little about Australia and the plights of the Aborigines….. Learning more about the Stolen Generation – about 100,000 Aboriginal children who were forcibly removed from their homes between 1910 to 1970 to be assimilated to the white Australians society – made me sad that this country too shares similar injustice to the indigenous people.
