Fairhaven Park is an excellent gathering location for meeting fellow riders. Gas Stations and Grocery Stores very near. The park is virtually the beginning of scenic Chuckanut Drive which is a favorite for both sport cars and motorcycle enthusiast.

The West side of the river has an off track road that is a real treat for scenic views that the fast Hwy 97 loses. It's slower, but tasty.
You can drive nearly all the way to the crossing, take your picture and turn around in the nearby parking lot. Head back a short ways and look for the little Osoyoos Park sign pointing you to the left. This is a beautiful camping and swimming park! -

There are several places to stop and see: old cemetery, old farm equipment, old schoolhouse converted into a museum. The road past the Museum turns into a gravel road which intersects again with the Chesaw road...but not so good for street motorcycles...best just to back tract to the Chesaw/Hwy 9 intersection and head East.

Here you have a choice to continue onward along the Chesaw Rd, or to explore a beautiful loop down Bonaparte Lake Rd. It's a bit rustic in a few sections but fine for a street motorcycle keeping the speed manageable.
Here are a few pictures of the region. -

This loop is unique and one of the less traveled sections in some places. Worth the scenery!
The section of the Chesaw/Bonaparte Lake Rd Jnxn to Toroda (basically between points 22 & 25) is worth doubling back on if you ride the Bonaparte Lake Rd Loop. It's short and easily to double back to get back on course with the rest of the journey. -
