Days1-2 After an orientation walk you are free to explore on your own: discover the “je ne sais quoi” of the City of Lights by climbing the Eiffel Tower, marveling at the Montmartre district, or explore the outstanding museums and churches.

Day 3 Inside its city walls, Bruges’ charming historic houses and canals close in around you. Sample the famous Belgian chocolate and wash it down with one of the many varieties of beer on a Brewery Tour.

Days 4-6 Amsterdam has something for every traveller's taste, be it art, culture and history, serious partying, or just the relaxing charm of an old European city. Day 6 is an overnight bus to Berlin.

Days 7-8 Berlin is best known for its lively nightlife, vibrant art scene and historical legacy. Enjoy an orientation walk around the most famous landmarks, before taking time to explore on your own.

Days 9-10 Marvel at Krakow's royal castle perched high above one of the world's largest medieval squares, the heart of the Old Town. For solemn reflection take a day trip to the site of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.

Days 11-12 Absorb Prague's magic. Cross the Charles Bridge to explore the castle of the Bohemian Kings. Wind down with a tour of the Pilsner beer hall and taste the most famous beer in Europe!

Day 13 The best way to enjoy medieval Cesky Krumlov in Southern Bohemia is to meander down the river on a boat trip through town, taking in views of the fairytale castle.

Days 14-15 Wander the imperial streets of Austria’s capital, with its grand buildings, gardens and museums. Catch a glimpse of the Lipizzaner dancing horses or take a break from history at a Viennese coffee house!

Days 16-17 Admire the Queen of the Danube with its beautiful turrets and architecture. Wander the castle ramparts of Buda and shop for treasures in Pest; let your Tour Leader find you the yummiest bowl of steaming goulash!

Days 18-19 The lakeside town of Bled, nestled in the snowcapped Julian Alps of Slovenia offers an abundance of outdoor activities to choose from including some spectacular walks. Rent a bike, explore the lakeside on foot, or head up to the Castle high on a cliff above the town.

Days 20-22 Venice is a city like no other in the world. Take a gondola ride, get lost in the labyrinth of bridges and alleyways, sample some prosecco in hidden local bars and lose yourself in the mystery of the City of Canals.

Days 23-24 Five little villages are perched between the crystalline waters of the Ligurian Sea and the hillside. Hike, swim, sip wine, and watch incredible sunsets through orchards and vineyards.

Days 25-26 After a stop at the Leaning Tower of Pisa, head to the incomparable Tuscan capital, Florence. Marvel at the awe-inspiring Duomo, shop for jewellery on the Ponte Vecchio and don't miss the chance to see Michelangelo's David in his full glory!

Days 27-29 Jump on a train south to the bustling Italian capital, Rome. Rome exudes history, from its mysterious Catacombs to the imposing Colosseum and Palatine Hill.

Days 30-31 Head further south to the fiery city of Naples with a chance to visit the ancient ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum, and the stunning Amalfi Coast around Sorrento.

Day 32 Travel to Italy's east coast and cross the Adriatic to the Greek island of Corfu, Odysseus' last stop on his mythical voyage to Ithaca.

Days 33-34 Relax at the beach or take to the hills, to whitewashed villages and magnificent views.

Days 35-36 Named after Athena, goddess of wisdom, this is the heart of ancient Greece. Explore the cobbled streets of charming Plaka, sample the best souvlaki and head up to the iconic Acropolis with its sweeping views.

Days 37-38 Wander the winding whitewashed streets of Fira, take a trip out to the volcano and while away the evenings with a famed Santorini sunset and a glass of specialty local wine. Head back across the Aegean and join the locals for a glass of ouzo and some meze while we make our connection for Lesbos in Athens’ bustling Pireaus Port.

Days 40-41 Discover Greece's third largest island, bathed in olive groves and fantastic beaches, this is the Emerald Island, renowned for its poets and painters, olive oil and wine.

Days 42-43 Sit back in one of Ayvalik’s cafés to sample your first glass of Turkish coffee and nibble at some tasty baklava as you soak up the views across the bay.

Days 44-46 Venture to Istanbul, the crossroads between Europe and Asia, this city of turrets and domes is a highlight for any traveller. Don't miss the incredible Aya Sophia, Egyptian bazaar and legendary Blue Mosque.

Day 47 Hire a bike or dust off your walking shoes and check out the incredible natural rock formations, known as fairy chimneys, dominating Cappadocia's unique landscape.

Day 48 Hike through the beautiful Ihlara Gorge filled with caves containing ancient Byzantine churches and stunning painted frescos.

Days 49-50 Adana is our last overnight stop on our odyssey southeast towards the Syrian border. Don’t miss the last chance to grab some delicious Turkish delights for dinner!

Days 51-52 Syria's intoxicating second city is the epitome of an Arabian bazaar city. Donkeys and horse-drawn carts are still the fastest way around the labyrinthine alleyways of the charming Al-Jdeida quarter!

Day 53 Listen to the creak of giant water wheels in atmospheric Hama before heading to explore the fairytale crusader castle of Crac des Chevaliers.

Day 54 Learn about the intriguing history of Greco-Roman Palmyra in its captivating desert oasis backdrop - the tales of a queen and a tragic end will bring these evocative ruins to life.

Days 55-56 Damascus claims to be the oldest, continuously inhabited city in the world. Absorb its unique oriental charm in the maze of alleyways, bazaars, minarets and fountain courtyards.

Day 57-58 We hop the border into Jordan and on to Amman, the capital and largest city of the Hashemite Kingdom.

Day 59 Making a stop at the Dead Sea, continue to the ancient Nabataean city of Petra. Marvel at the incredible towering façades carved into the rose-coloured rockface, made famous by Indiana Jones.

Day 60 Blessed with some of the most spectacular desert scenery you will ever see, Wadi Rum is home to the nomadic Bedouin people, whose legendary hospitality we are treated to for the night.

Day 61-62 Welcome to the land of the Pharaohs! Time for a well-earned beach break - chill out and relax, take a dip in the crystal waters and enjoy some unique snorkelling over the coral reefs.

Day 63 Make the steep climb to the top of Mt Sinai and be rewarded with stunning views, before visiting St Katherine’s monastery, legendary home of the biblical burning bush.

Day 64 Cross the Suez Canal and learn more about the interesting history of this groundbreaking stretch of water. Enter Egypt's bustling capital, as we celebrate our odyssey with a final farewell night. Day 65 Depart Cairo anytime.
