It's an image!

This is a static image of this map. It doesn't move, but it sure looks pretty.

The seventh graders boarded the bus on Friday, November 18th to visit the Ninth Ward in New Orleans. They had read the book called the Ninth Ward by Jewell Parker Rhodes. The field trip gave them an opportunity to see the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina as well as the current rebirth of the neighborhood.

In the early 1900's a steamboat captain named Doullut built a house for himself and one across the street for his son. They are quite unusual and mimic the design of an actual steamboat. The bottom floor of each house has tile walls, so they made it through Katrina without too much damage.
