Birmingham Museums have loaned a large number of works by Sir Edward Burne-Jones to museums in Japan for a touring Burne-Jones exhibition. The tour began in June at the Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum, will travel to Hyōgo Prefectural Museum of Art in August and will finally go to the Koriyama City Museum of Arts in October.
The works will have journeyed 12,360 miles (19.891 km) from Birmingham UK and back on their tour.
